Sky Cinema grabs a lot of the bigger blockbusters, but often promotes smaller movies that have gained a nice little following, so we’re keeping track of all the new films that are hitting the service in the coming month.
In March, you’ll get new premieres like Brightburn and Rocketman. As always, quite a few of the films in the lineup will also be available via NOW TV, but here’s an official look at what’s coming to Sky Cinema over the next few weeks…
Premieres
Brightburn – March 6th
What if Superman, but evil? From the twisted mind of James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) comes this concept, in which a 12-year-old super-powered boy goes off the rails. Elizabeth Banks stars as the terrified mum who adopted him.
This Changes Everything – March 8th
Gender disparity in Hollywood goes under the microscope, with thoughts on the industry’s evolution from the likes of Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep, Rashida Jones, Sandra Oh and Tiffany Haddish.
The Art of Self-Defence – March 10th
Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland) and Imogen Poots (That Awkward Moment) star in this tale of a guy who decides to get tough after he’s attacked by a bike gang, but there’s more to discover under the surface.
The Lion King (2019) – March 13th
Jon Favreau helms this animated remake of the 1994 Disney smash hit. Donald Glover, Seth Rogen and Beyonce all lend their voices.
Robert The Bruce – March 14th
Angus Macfadyen (Braveheart) leads this historical drama as Robert the Bruce, and we follow the King of Scots during a period of his life where he feels well and truly beaten.
Sell By – March 16th
A five-year relationship between a fashion influencer and a painter plays out in New York.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 – March 20th
Kevin Hart, Harrison Ford and Tiffany Haddish’s animated pets have some exciting adventures when their owners aren’t looking.
Through the Fire (Sauver ou périr) – March 25th
Pierre Niney is a young firefighter whose life is entirely transformed in a horrifying accident. Based on a true story.
Rocketman – March 27th
Taron Egerton stars as Elton John in this award-winning musical based on the singer’s wild life.
Her Smell – March 28th
A gritty 90-set musical epic that follows Becky Something (Elisabeth Moss), an ageing rock superstar whose career has recently derailed. Cara Delevingne, Dan Stevens and Amber Heard co-star.
The Runaways – March 31st
Three children search for their mother along with their pet donkey

Sky Cinema celebrates some of the most iconic women in film.
